1 PM : Jordan Reyne
Jordan Reyne is one of New Zealands most acclaimed dark folk musicians. Blending ethereal Celtic melodies with what could be dubbed the soundtrack to Steampunk. Her music has been compared to PJ Harvey, Dead Can Dance, Massive Attack and Sinead Oconnor.
She mixes acoustic orignals with well know covers and individual shows can be tailored musically to meet specific needs.
This is no ordinary show and Jordan has quickly developed to be a leading performer in SL.
Jordan has been nominated for three national music awards in her home country, and has performed or appeared on notable film/TV soundtracks including "Lord of the Rings", "Shortland Street" and "Blessed". She has also appeared on the internationally renowned "Cafe Del Mar" compilations.
Jordan has had three album length commissions from the New Zealand Arts Council including her most recent CD “How the Dead Live”, and her previous album “passenger”. “Karlsruhe” (the first single off that album) spent over a month in the number one position on Student Radio request lines in New Zealand shortly after its release. “Long Way to Climb” and “The Proximity of Death” held top ten positions for several weeks.

Art in Hats, WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Art and fashion meet in hats. Good hats are art to wear and subsequently many artists love to create fantastic hats. Fashion designers often show an explosion of creativity in hats. Hats turn to fashion with the styling.
The basic idea of the exhibition is to bring designers, artists and photographers together in an art exhibition / sales event by presenting hats built by artists and fashion designers in combination with photos. The photos are meant to be an art shot.
Hats and images are to be sold or are given as freebies. One of a kind pieces are sold in an auction.
